Hello! Now we have started October you guys. The time flies and me have a lot to do. In not too long we will be celebrating Christmas!

Ahh, I miss the time when my biggest concern was to not get soap in my eyes when I took a shower. It was easier times then :). Maybe it was not as rewarding as now, but easy. I thought about this today because I got some soap in my eyes this morning. hahha, must be the first time in some years that this happen to me.

As a district leader you have many exchanges with the other missionaries in the same district. So last week I was in Limassol with Elder Dagry (previous companion) and we had a service project for Kalista, a less active member that is from Sri-Lanka. Of course, food was given us afterwards as a reward. I was not that hungry so I took a medium portion on my plate. Kalista took my plate for serving chicken so she said. "No brother, you need more" so she kept on loading my plate until I almost could not see the others around the table. I managed just to complete the mountain when she gave me a new mountain of food. But everything went miraculously down.

Poor Dagry, he is a Frenchman, not entirely accustomed to spicy food. He took one bite before he understood that this is going to be a spicy meal. You should have seen his face! Felt like Chernobyl inside his mouth, and he tried to hide it as good as he could. He tried so hard, sweating, with teary eyes and Kalista continually filled up his plate, Eat brother, eat! hahha, one does not easily forget such moments.

We hit on Meg this week and had a great conversation with her on her door step. At one point she began to cry. She is a very spiritual person. She explained about the various challenges she had, problems and how much she works and uses so much energy. Then in the middle of all this she paused and said. But dont worry, I?m still fat. Hahha. She's incredibly busy at the moment. But about a month or two she will have plenty of time, including the time to sit down to learn about the gospel. J

At the hospice this week there was a project that was going on. They taught people to make lace. So now I have tried that too.

Oh, this week we had a surprise. A car passed by us, stopped and rolled down the window. The car had red signs, so I was convinced it was tourists in a car that was lost. The guy who rolled down the window, pointing at us and said, LDS? He was very excited when he found out that there is an LDS church here in Paphos, with even missionaries. We had a long conversation about the size of the church in Cyprus. He asked lots of questions about it were only branches or if there were wards etc. So clearly I took him and his family to be members since they knew the church at such a level. Suddenly he said, Oh, btw, we are not members or anything, but the family of my wife are Mormons. Must admit I was a bit confused. They asked for our number so that they could invite us for dinner one day. They moved here last week, so I'm looking forward to finding out more of their story.

We've also had lots of good discussions with our investigators these two weeks. Next Sunday we will see general conference Saturday sessions and next Sunday we will see the Sunday sessions. Many of the investigators who have never gone to church before really want to see how general conference works out, so that will be very good.

We did see a bit of general conference yesterday. Some members invited us over so we got to see a little. It is absolutely stunning. I must admit, it was not my favorite use of time when I was home. It has turned now at least. It's an incredible blessing we can hear a Prophet of God with his 12 apostles speak to us. One can really feel that what they say, they say with authority. I have a strong testimony that what they say is the Lord's revealed word to us. We have so much to learn from them if we are aware of what they have to say to us.

I?m ending with a quote that is not from the prophet, but is still good ;) Enjoy your week

---------------

Halloisen! N e me inne i oktober folkens, ti flyr og me har mye jrr p. E jo rett fr me treffe p jul!

Kalista tok tallerkenen min for servere kylling s sa hun. Men alt gikk mirakulst ned.

But dont worry, Im still fat. Hahha.
