Hallais alle snokere! (English translation below the Norwegian :-) )

Hovedeventene denne uken var.... Dp!

"Happiness can be found in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light" - Albus Dumbledore

Hallo to you followers!

Main events this week .... Baptism! Patricia was baptized! I will be moving to Larnaca, where I become District Leader! And I will train a new missionary from Italy, Elder Menis ^^ And I've taken on the role as Captain Greece.

So much have happened this week. Let me take it chronologically.

We had a district meeting in Limassol where we had an exchange with zone leaders. Myself and Elder Fagg was in Paphos together. What a machine. I have much to learn from him. He had the baptism interview with Patricia, since I cannot do the interview with our investigators as district leader. It's always cool to be more familiar with other missionaries, because they are all so different. And they all have remarkably different skills and personalities, which they utilize in mission work.

I also received a phone call in the morning during the exchange from Athens. President Heder called to tell that next week I will train a new missionary! ^^ Yes! it will be fun! hahha, I really look forward to that. ah ... I remember so many different funny moments when I was in my first area in Athens. Much fun can happen when you try everything to speak a language you do not master yet.

On Friday we had zone conference. I had a 25 min presentation. But I missed a bit in the planning of the presentation. In the front row sat the assistants, and suddenly they gave me a sign that now I had only 7 minutes left. I think I just had gone through 10% of what I had planned to go through hahha. So I just went through the most important, but I think it did go pretty smoothly.

The morning after we had a training meeting for those who will train the new missionaries with President Heder and the assistants. After that we had two baptisms in Limassol. Ray and Emma. Two people from China who have been taught a little while and was very eager to be baptized.

And?. on Sunday Patricia was baptized! 30 years researching ended with tears of joy. It was incredible. Some comic during the baptism. We drove all together down to the beach that she had picked out beforehand. She bubbled over with joy, unable to keep up and had to hug the missionaries. The problem was that there were more waves than expected. And the place that we went down to there were a big rock that ended quite abruptly in an underwater cliff. We tried to go as close to the cliff as possible to get the right depth. Another problem was that there was some deep holes. So we bubbled all a bit up and down while we fought to gain balance against the waves. But suddenly it was quiet enough, everyone had a good foothold and baptism was performed without any problems. We were all so happy, it just bubbled over.

It will be sad to leave Paphos. All the good investigators that we have, the very good relationship we have with the members, The Wonnacotts and all that they have done for us. With lessons and especially meals ^^ But Elder Gore will come from Athens to take over the work here in Kato Paphos, also as a trainer. He is from the same MTC group as me, and I have no worries that he will take over the work here, he's a beast.

This week before traveling to Larnaca, we visited Limassol so that I could do a baptismal interview with another that wants to be baptized. So the work here really goes forward and the future looks bright! =)

Hope everyone has had a nice week! I conclude with another quote:

"Happiness can be found in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light" - Albus Dumbledore
