Men dere for holde ut.

Vi gikk oss vill kun to ganger.

White shirt and tie can be used in most circumstances, but sometimes you just have to give a little more, then we are always prepared with the S under the white shirt.

We counted the number of times we received food or desserts this week from friends and members. It end up at 11 times. That must be a new record, I only cooked once this week.

I feel that it is becoming more and more difficult to express myself in Norwegian. There is much the same wording, not so much variation unfortunately. But hope you will endure.

I planted tomatoes, parsley and sunflowers last Monday, but they have not started to sprout yet. I'm afraid it takes a little more patience than expected, but hope it will work out. We just had a new transfer, but nothing changed throughout the mission, so we have at least six weeks more here in Larnaca for both me and Scharff.

We had an exchange, I did go with Elder James. We got lost only two times. Since he lives in Paphos and we in Larnaca, we met in Limassol and we had the district meeting there.

Panayiotis had birthday this week they and invited us over to celebrate with proper Cyprian food! There was so much food that we had to come back the following day to continue the party. I?m not joking! Fantastic.

We will be going to Athens again for a meeting next Tuesday, so we are constantly busy, but it's good. We try as best we can to work with lots of members, which is a wonderful part of missionary work. You get to know the members, and you start care for them and feel that we make a difference in someone's life.

Can not think of more to write about this week, so I think I round up here;)

Have a good week all you folks.

    Take care! Snakkes!

    ---------------

Today there were lots of different seeds on sale, so we bought some flower and tomatoes seeds. Then we suddenly realized that we had neither a pot or soil. So just before we came here to write emails to family and friends, we drove past a flower shop. So now we have 3 large pots and 20 liters of good soil. I guess it was a strange sight, 20 liters of soil on a bicycle. People were staring, but we're used to that.

A few times a week we put up a large poster of Christ down at the promenade and we talk with people about Christ, Book of Mormon, etc. This week Gabbi past us while we were having this stand. Sister Ramsay gave him a card to give to someone on the street. He did it quite easy. So I gave him some Book of Mormons. He took the challenge and started talking to people about Book of Mormon. Hahha! It was Incredibly cool to see. He could speak specifically with Indians since he is from India. It was so cool. Next time we had the stand he came back and continued to talk with people about the Book of Mormon. Absolutely brilliant.

We also visited Lisbeth and Thomas-two from Norway and had a good chat with them. Some in Norwegian and some in English.

We have a member here who comes from Sweden, he will be here a couple of months. He's temple worker in Stockholm temple, so he knows my grandfather very well. This Sunday he had a speech that he preferred to do in Swedish. So then it was up to me to translation from Swedish to English on the podium. That was very strange. One really gets a hot brain when you have to juggle between different languages. After church, he has a temple preparation class that I translate from Swedish to Greek. After the meetings there is always translation across all languages. Easy to start translating the wrong language to the wrong person, but it's just fun.

Hopefully we do not need to buy tomatoes next week. (But I have a feeling that it may take a little longer timer ..)

The entire mission work has been especially centered on working with members. This week we have done a lots of it. We have plenty of good members here in Larnaca so this is perfect.

    Take care! See you later!

    Javel! Masse nytt, liten oppsummering

Knall.

Hi. Lots of news. Here is a small summary

We were on our way to visit one of our friends when we passed a bird that was not scared at all. I picked it up with one hand and it was completely calm, had no issues with sitting in my hand.

This week we were in Greece, Athens for a correlation meeting with President and Sister Heder, the assistants and the other zone leaders in Greece. It was nice. 6 hours discussion, mostly about how we can work better together with the members. They flew us in one day and back to Cypress the next day.

A few days ago I managed to lose our keys to our flat ... It did not help that we had been everywhere the day when we stood in front of the apartment at night time, trying to remember where I might have lost them. After calling around, we sat on the stairs and felt sorry for ourselves. Then I suddenly remembered that while we were waiting for an appointment I patted a cat outside our apartment. I went around where the cat were with high hopes, and exactly where I sat early that morning I found the keys. Deus ex machina

Hahha, highlight of the week: We were on our way out in a center with revolving doors at the end. A guy in front of us had his face buried in his mobile phone thought that the opening was a little earlier, and ...

Wait a minute, maybe I think that the fact that we had 3 gyros in one day was the highlight. First we bought a gyro each for lunch, and later in the day we were invited to a meal with Allens where they had ordered two gyros for each of us. It was heavenly.

We baked cookies that we gave to those we teach and some members etc. Our neighbor gave us something which she described as 'fresh vanilla'. So I used it in my cakes. I later found out that it was not vanilla, it was pure vanilla, super concentrated. So the cookies are was quite damaged and had to restart bake new ones. We gave the damaged one to Panayiotis anyways, just to see his reaction. Later the week we visited him and saw that the cookies were still on the table. He said they did not taste that good, but they gave a very good vanilla smell throughout the house. Hahha xD good that they were used for something.

Me and Elder Scharff had one day from returning from Athens to teach all the missionaries in Cyprus about the things that were discussed and learned in Athens.. This did go relatively good. Almost a little surprised by how easy it was.
We also had some good educational opportunities this week where we taught well together. It is always encouraging when you follow your companion thinking and back each other up during lessons. Very nice.
