Hallais tottlepaver

? I don't mean: why are you here, get out. But, whe are you here?" hahha Litt kaos, men vi ble bedt om komme igjen, s noe interessert m de ha vrt.

Jaaavell. Ha ein goe uga alde samen! Og ha ein fryktelig goe pske!

Shallabais

So this week I tried to cut my hair completely on your own. The sides was a quite successfully cut, but I had no clue about the length on the top. I tried with the machine on 17mm and took a strip on top of the head. It was a bit shorter than expected to to be honest... I sat there and felt the hand through my hair and just said "oj" in Norwegian. In Cyprus that means ?no?. Perhaps appropriate. J My companion came over and just laughed and laughed. It was not that bad, but it was a good and short Easter cut.

Companion my learning Norwegian now. Greek certainly was not enough for him J. I teach him real Stavanger dialect. Hahha, does not sound bad at all actually, but a lot of things really sounds funny.

This week we knocked some doors, as we do when we have nothing more effective to do, and it worked pretty good. We have taught some discussions because of it. We meet some students from India that are Sikh. We have taught them twice now, but it's quite difficult. Because they live a 5-6 people in an apartment, and they come and go, suddenly in the middle of a lesson - that started with 3 persons ? then we have 5 extra to teach. And they usually have questions that we have already answered earlier in the lesson. One guy came in asking me after some minutes: "why are you here? ... I do not mean: why are you here, get out? But, why are you here?" hahha a little chaos, but they asked us to come again, so something must have been good.

We have an investigators with a Catholic background, Lyn. She seems very interested, only thing is that she has a difficult time at the moment. At the end of the lesson, we asked if she could end with a prayer. She said she only knew memorized  prayers from the Catholic Church, and she stressed a bit to give a personal prayer. We explained again how to pray, and then we asked one first, so that she could observe. Then it was her turn, in Tagalog. After the prayer, she was so happy. Seems like it opened up a whole new world for her, because now she could pray right from the heart about anything she needed to talk to Our Heavenly Father about.

On Sunday after church, we had a baby shower. One of the members is very much pregnant. We had plenty of food, decorations and baby shower "games". I did not picture myself in a baby shower J, but it was good to be there. Social and loads of food. You never go wrong.

Have a great week everybody. Have a great Easter.

    Hei igjen

To tvillinger.

    Hello again

I've just come from field trip with the rest of the missionaries here in Cyprus. We walked up a mountain near the coast, and wow, so cool to see. We have of course lots of mountain in Norway. But here is Cyprus is very different. More sand and white stones, that goes straight out to ocean. I took some pictures, but it will never be the same as seeing it live. Incredibly nice to be together with the other missionaries.

This week has been a very good week. We had two lessons with our investigator Lyn. She has a daughter that is three years old, which has a LOT of energy. Lyn has been studying different churches and have told us that she is looking for the truth. One of lessons we had with her this week we talked about the Christ gospel and the spirit was strong. She was very emotional during the lesson, so she felt it too.

The hairdressers here in Cyprus and Greece is not the best. They are never listening to what I say I want. I can explain how I want my hair, but then end up with the same haircut that they gave me last time. They just do their thing. So I decided to do something about it. I cut the hair to Elder Clarke yesterday, then he cut mine. Hahha, It started up very uneven in the beginning, but it ended up pretty good. Keeping in mind that this was the first time. Definitive not the last.

We also taught Two Chinese twins. One is an inactive member and her sister is our investigating the church. It's very different to teach them. Greeks and people of Cyprus are usually very orthodox, and has deep roots in Christianity. So we are taking it for granted that everyone understand "Christian words and the concepts" when teaching them. It is incredibly exciting to teach people who have no religious background. Jai-Lin, the investigator, said her a personal prayer for the first time this week. She prayed for a friend in China who was in a really bad situation. Later she received good news from this friend that things had suddenly turned around and was much better now.

    Heisann, blogg-glttere!

Ha ein goe uga, s snakkes me neste uga folkens ;) take care

    -------------------------------

    Hello, blog peekers!
Last week I received an overview how many people actually follow this blog, and wow, it's actually a lot of you.
So I guess it means that I will continue to blog until you are all sick of me ;) hahha

This week something strange and great happened. I got a package, quite unexpectedly. In this package was a cooking apron. On the apron it stood: Elder Lundegrd, Greece Athens Mission as a ?missionary tag". Hahha, and I have no idea of who did send it! All that stood on the package was Nixon. I have no clue. But who ever it was from: Thanks a lot =) It has already saved a shirt when I cooked. So it is certainly useful.

We had a Zone Conference this week, which was incredibly good. President and Sister Heder was there and talked to us. They have always such a good spirit with them. When they speak, it is so easy to understand, learn, be enlightened and inspired. We also had personal interviews with President Heder and sister Heder. They just wonderful people. We had to travel to Larnica for this meeting. And some Elders, that live much longer away, stayed two nights in our apartment. One of them was Elder Rantaniemi, who was my companion on MTC before we came to Greece. I must admit that after nine weeks together on the MTC, I was a bit sick of him. But he has changed so much since then, (most likely it is me who has changed : p) and it was great fun to be with him again. Very cool to see that our language has evolved so much. At MTC we struggled to learn to say "my name is". Now, we only communicate in Greek.

This week all our appointments has gone down the drain. Absolutely everyone. We will have to work as hard as we can this week so that we can reverse the trend. We will do everything we can, and then some more. We have worked a lot with members last week, but we have not gotten hold of one single of our investigators. They are all traveling, have problems or simply not responding our call or open the door. So me and Elder Clarke have agreed that we should step it up and work even harder this week.

I completed just my study of the New Testament. Although the Book of Mormon is my favorite book, the New Testament has helped me a lot to get closer to my brother, my Savior and my Redeemer Jesus Christ.

Well, have a good week, and I?ll see you next week at same time then? ;)

    take care

(Here I wake up my companion Elder Clarke)

    (From the Zone conferance)

(pondering the good words from my President :))
