Snakkes! Ha ein goe uga og alt det der! ^^

Hi and welcome back!
There is so much that has happened. I?ll try to update you with the most important things that has happened the recent weeks.

Last week we had a third Elder with us, Elder Reed. He together with us since he is American and has no residence permit in Cyprus. Since he will finish his mission this week, President Honors gave him the opportunity to experience Cyprus.

"We rod camels last P day. It was fun!"

Last Monday, we traveled to Cape Greco with Panayiotis and Gerogia to show Reed some of Cyprus.
When we got back home Elder Reed had a headache, so I gave him a Phenazone Caffeine pill. Not long after starting Reed responding to the medication. He first was red in the face, then the neck start swelled up and he began to have trouble breathing. The sinuses became clogged. It started to be worse, and when he had problem with the breathing the problem seemed get really bad. I read this on rare Phenazone reactions:

?Anaphylactic reaction (anaphylaxis): Acute and severe allergic reaction with symptoms such as fever, rash, swelling, difficulty breathing and low blood pressure. Anaphylactic shock is fatal if you do not get started with drug therapy in the form of antihistamines and epinephrine.?

I could not tell him that so we called Sister Heder and informed her of the matter and she contacted doctors and paramedics. Elder Reed asked for a priesthood blessing. Immediately after the blessing, he was rapidly improved. Everything opened up and his situation started to normalize.
There were no need for an ambulance, hospital or anything. We stopped by a pharmacy to buy antihistamine for safety's sake and so we rode out bikes home. It's amazing to see power of the priesthood in use. And the headache was gone :).

I met some people who were here in Larnaca the day before they traveled back to Limassol. They were interested in learning more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I received their phone number and gave it to the missionaries in Limassol. They have taught them ever since. However we received a phone call from the missionaries and told us that two of them now are in prison and the third was on the run, but that he had plans to come to church on Sunday. Hahha. It is fixed now. It was just some problems with some papers that are now in order.

We have taught Emad several times last couple of weeks. The one that was recently baptized. He is absolutely fantastic. We found another guy from Egypt and Emad is both ready and willing to join the lessons to translate and help.

On Saturday we had an activity where we met in a park to grill and be together. There was a good attendanceand we had about 30 people there. Members, non-members and friends. Lovely weather, sunny, 25 degrees. We played volleyball and food was made by Panayiotis. Our two friends from Norway came as well, and I think that all had a good time.

There are other things that are worth mentioning, but I like I do not have time to write about it, but have to mention that we did give blessing and naming a baby! That was pretty amazing. It was a less-active member who wanted that the baby should receive the blessing. We had a wonderful zone conference. It was great.

The reason that I have not been so regular writing the blog is that I spend a lot of time on Mondays to figure out studies after my mission. As time approaching the deadline for applying. I have had many ideas, but it looks like I'm going to study radiography in Drammen if nothing else changes. So now I'm going to write more regularly forward.

See ya all! Have a brilliant week and all that stuff! ^^

    Halloen!

Han sa "Yeah, throughout my racing career I've broken almost every bone in my body; my arms, most of my ribs, my legs, both shoulders, everything. But most times I'd just use duct tape. Do you know what duct tape is? It's my best friend. I'd duct tape my arm whenever I'd break it, cuz' mah doctor would never let me continue the championship if he'd know." Hahha!

Siste ting.

    ----------------------------------------------------------

    Heya

It has been an exciting week. We flew to Athens Tuesday, but when we landed we did not find anyone waiting for us where they have picked us up earlier. We were stranded without a working phone, no food, only water from the toilets. Emergency phone would not accept our cards and we had a meeting in about under an hour. Luckily we found a computer that still had 10 minutes internet from the previous person that was paid. We found that those who picked us up was waiting for us outside, we just had not seen them, so it was properly our fault. : P oh well, we did come to the meeting in time.

The meeting we had was good, we learned a lot from President and Sister Heder and the assistants. We also had an exchange with the assistants, where I was together with Elder Fagg for a day. I could have written a book about just that, hahha.

We visited Ralph, an ex-motorcyclist from America. The only way I can describe him as a person is by one example. He said "Yeah, throughout my racing career I've broken almost every bone in my body; my arms, most of my ribs, my legs, both shoulders, everything. But most times I'd just use duct tape. Do you know what duct tape is? it's my best friend. I'd duct tape my arm whenever I'd break it, cuz 'mah doctor would never let me continue the championship if he'd know. " Hahha! Now the doctors here need to break up many of the bones that was healed wrong. But he thought it was worth it, he won the US national championship six times.
We talked to him about the scriptures that he has a great testimony about, something he has appreciated throughout his life.

We came home to Cyprus on Thursday and had incredibly little time to prepare for the lessons of all the missionaries here in Cyprus, which was on Friday. No kidding, we planned everything Friday morning before we traveled to Limassol.

Not only have we traveled, I've seen lots of miracles this week.
Perhaps the biggest was with Robin. A less-active member we've tried to reach for a long time. He sent us a message this week that his wife gave birth to a boy. We could visit them the same evening in the hospital and got to see a one day old baby. Fantastic. We also had lots of baby clothes from one of the other members that we were supposed to give to someone else, but we lost contact with them. Now we got the opportunity to help Robin with baby clothes instead.

We have also worked with the other members here in Larnaca who is a big focus now. We do as missionaries focus on member work, and it's really rewarding and it also helps members as well.

Out plants is growing, but a strange thing has happened. In the pot which I planted parsley, another thing started to grow up, that stands out from all the others. Elder Scharff think it's an onion, so it will be interesting to see what it will end up as.

Oh, we also met a guy who shouted at us, Hey Elders! from the other side of the street. He took us on a sushi buffet. They were visiting here from the United States and wanted to treat us.

Last thing. We sat and studied Greek outside when a cat came up to us. It jumped up in my lap and stayed there. That did not stop me reading the Book of Mormon.

    Have a great week : D

    Hallais!

Jeg har visst en uante superkrefter. 1. Har tiltrekning av gitarer. 2.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

    Hi you guys.

I must have some superpowers that I did not know about before. 1. I have a strange attraction to guitars. 2. Attraction to animals / insects.

We had an awesome great weekend. Elder Scharff was 22 this Saturday. President Heder was in Cyprus that day and he took us out for a Chinese restaurant named Mulan. It was perfect. We also had a Branch conference on Sunday where one of the members who were baptized last year got the Melchizedec priesthood.

I bought a steal string guitar a year ago in Limassol which I have brought with me since. I also found an acoustic guitar that no one used now in one of the apartments. The third belong to our neighbor, Vaso. Vaso is feeding us daily with dinner dishes and desserts She had a guitar with only two strings and had no clue on how to strings a guitar. She asked us if we could fix it, and that she would pay for the strings. I thought it was a regular guitar with steel strings that I have changed many times before. It turned out that it was nylon strings that I've never changed before. Luckily, I had the second guitar and used it as a template and it was not as difficult as I feared.

We met on a large praying mantis on the way to an agreement. It jumped into my hand and then climbed up the arm and then up to the head. Yesterday on the way home we cycled along the road and discovered that it sat a parrot along the way. We stopped to take a picture when it suddenly started talking Greek! hahha fantastic. So next time you walk into a pet store and all the animals making lots of noise, it could be that they only have a really interesting discussion in Greek.

We cleaned the church this Saturday. A man walked past the building with headphones on and was in his little bobble. I made eye contact, and we introduced ourselves. He said he was from Egypt and asked if we have any members from Egypt. I could then tell him that Emad would be here in about 5 minutes. Perfect! Emad agreed to participate in a discussion and to translate into Arabic.

The plants starts to grow. But oh, I need patience.

This week we will fly into Greece Athens for a meeting, and we will be there for two days. And then straight back to Cyprus to train the missionaries here in Cyprus what we have learned. It will be fun. Very stressful, but we like that. way

    Have a good week!
