Allais! ^^

Hahha, gy?

Det begynne bli farlig varmt her n. Over 30 grader daglig, pluss godt og fuktig.

Veldig gy! Over hele armen og buksen. Pluss hjulet punkterte.

Neste dag kom hun i kirken, helt frisk.

Hi to yall

A lot happened this week. Police threat, exchange, strange calls and topped it off with a visit to the hospital with an ambulance.

Imagine a really hot day. Burning heat from a blazing sun. The asphalt steaming and the air vibrates due to the hot air. There is barely a lizard that dares to run from shadow to shadow. Not a cloud on the sky. If you look ahead, you?ll see a long steep hill in the sun. If you look even closer, you'll see two loonies who are climbing the hill. Both on bicycles, wearing long pants and white shirts with a collar and a tie. Hahha, fun...

It is getting dangerously hot here now. Over 30 degrees? daily. It doesn?t help that it is moist and humid. At night time there is also quite warm, fortunately, we have air conditioning. One night we decided to sleep outside. We have a small balcony that we moved the mattresses out and slept there. It was sweet =)

We walked around and talked to people then we meet one guy. We asked him if it would be beneficial to have a prophet today. He just looked at us very strangely and confused and said: Wait ... we do not have one? Hahha, try to answer that question.

We had missionary exchange this week. So Pereira came to Limassol and I did go to Paphos for a day. Elder Pereira and Clarke rode their bikes outside the city, and suddenly someone threw coffee at Pereira from a car. Very funny! He got is all over the arm and on his trousers. Plus they got a flat tire. So they had to walk all the way home. Well he got away the coffee from his pants, so no real harm done.

On Sunday one of the sister missionaries fainted during church time.  She was completely unconscious. One of the members is luckily a doctor, so he helped while we got hold of an ambulance. We gave her a blessing and got her off to the hospital. Me Elder Clarke, Charlotte and Amanda joined to help. We spent a good time of the day at the hospital. Lots of tests and stuff. Fortunately, everything seemed to go well, so she was allowed to go home eventually.

This week I had the chance to take part in two blessings and I gave a blessing. It's incredibly wonderful feeling to be worthy to help others through the priesthood. Another member, who is pregnant, was very sick on Saturday. She asked me if I could give her a blessing. The next day she came to church, feeling perfectly fine.

This upcoming week there will come the annual sandstorm. Last year they had to stay indoor for four days, but I do not think this is normal. Well we'll see!
Wish you all a brilliant week.

    Hallaisen folkens!

Amen, amen! Med foldet hender. For prve si at vi m be for maten. Utrolig kult.

Bare pass deg for apekattene!

    Tudelooo guys!

This week I met Elder Rantaniemi again. He is now serving in Paphos now. He is a huge fan of Ylvis. He had seen a lot of videos and music videos before his mission, and he still remember lots of the lyrics. Sometimes he starts singing about Jan Egeland, and have zero clue actually who he is! J hahhaha. So when we work together, no-one understand what is going on when we suddenly start sings about Stonehenge and Jan Egeland.

Every week we help in an institution for handicap people. Sometimes we take them out for a stroll, sometimes we make some drawings or food. Sometimes we bring guitars and play a few songs for them. In Greek and in English. This week they asked for Norwegian songs, and the other missionaries knew I had a couple of songs in my sleeves there so there were no turning back ... So I sang Mnemannen and songs from Kaizers. I guess very cool and ? very strange.

I can finally say that I have become a real Greek. Before I left Norway, I could not handle a little bit of an olive without a grim. It tasted absolutely terrible! But now I love olives! I have olives in almost everything I make, snacks, dinners, salads etc. Can even take a couple of olives and eat them clean just for snacks. ^^

we were invited to a homemade Chinese meal. Think I've never tasted anything so good

We fasted this week for the work here in Limassol, since we are struggling to find people who have are interested in the gospel. Shortly after we finally got an agreement with the Sikhs and taught also two other lessons right after. The spirit was strong at all three lessons. Also we found a Cypriot family that we taught. They like us to come back. The week really picked up after the fast!

The daughter of Lyn, Mariana, who will soon be three years do speak Tagalog, English and Greek. A good mix. They were going to eat a meal together, and before they started Mariana shouting Amen, amen! With folded hands. She tried to say that we had to pray for the food. Incredibly cool. Lyn also explains that Mariana, before they go to bed Lyn have to say the evening prayer. Mariana have to say her prayer too. She just muttered lot of words a mix of the three languages and after a while, Amen! She is best. Always active and full of energy, but every time we pray, she sits down, bow her head and hands folded, silent until we say amen.

Regarding the April first fool I did on the other missionaries here in Limassol. They figured it out the second they saw the bottles, even though it was a big surprise. Maybe not as big surprise that my parents had when I set off the fire alarm at home the night of April 1 a couple of years ago.

Hi Sheri hope you have a great time in Bali! Just watch out for the monkeys!

1 April? Javel.

Han snakket med alle sammen, "Hey, you should come to the mormons, I love their church. On Sunday we can meet at the old hospital and we can walk over there together. They talk about Jesus Christ, and Joseph Smith's story really touch my heart."

    ------------------------------------------

1 April ... Okay. I have always been very fond of doing April Fools. This is the first time I'm not at home on April 1st. Do you think that will stop me? Absolut not! I've saved up Milk bottles and water bottles for a few months now?We do not have good Norwegian mountain water straight from the tap. So bottles it is. So I have a pile of bottles in the flat. The night before April 1st we taped together all the bottles. 9 bottles in a row, and then taped them together we in the height. Finally, we had a huge "door" of bottles. April 1st, we woke up extra early and sneaked over to the other Elders apartment. Sadly the front door to the building was locked. But we came back at noon and then the door was open. So we sneaked up the stairs, taped the bottle door on their doorstep as a barrier to their door, and ran away unseen.

The day after we spoke with them. When they arrived home on April 1st the neighbors stood in the hall and discussed and studied this new door. They asked where it came from, why it was in front of the door. One asked if it was a new kind of bed. Hahhaha. The other elders tried their best to explain, but I do not think anyone quite realized what we had done.

Last week we were invited to the church of Satei, the chess champion. (you that have followed me, will know what I?m talk about) Mainly to meet some of his friends there. We joined the church service; they had a kind of seminar or something there. Afterwards Satie invited all members of his church to come to Mormons on Sunday and see how we have it. He spoke with everyone, "Hey, you should come to the Mormons, I love their church. On Sunday we can meet at the old hospital and we can walk over there together. They talk about Jesus Christ, and Joseph Smith's story really touch my heart. " He is a very good guy. He moved to Bulgaria this week so was a fine thing he did to us, and he said a lot of good things about us.

We had many good conversations with people on the street this week. Has also experienced a lot of interesting episodes and conversations when we have been knocking at doors. We see the positive in every little thing.

We met with the Sikhs again. The last time we saw them, all were fairly interested. All except one. Nikki, he was a little cranky and did not seem interested at all. I did not expect him to come along at all. But if the spirit touches, then all is possible. When we finally got to meet them again and had a lesson at their place, the situation turned completely around. Nikki was the only one who really was interested. When we asked him in the end of the lesson if he will ask if the Book of Mormon is true, he said: Okay. I'll read the Book of Mormon and ask if it is true, and if I feel it is true then I will follow the right path. We were quite surprised. But this is how it is with the Spirit. It can really work on all of us. Spirit knows that people can change, quickly. This is showing to me that the gospel is for everyone, and that we should not judge or pre decide whom we think is ready to listen.

We also got the chance to stop by where they says Aphrodite was born. This is situated between Paphos and Limassol. It was very cool to experiance.

    Well that?s is folks.
