Mtte passe litt p for slanger.

Masse sm mirakler denne uken.

Hvis iche hadde du iche nkk is ;)

Hi you guys

It has been an extremely good week. We have met a lot of great people, had great conversations, celebrated May 17 and everything!

Last week we saw a Norwegian flag on a balcony. So we rang the doorbell and he answered through the intercom. I said I was from Norway and have not been talking to a Norwegian in 8 months. He invited me to May 17 celebration at a hotel. He said: Bring money, fine clothing and flags. Fine clothes should not be a problem ...

Then on 17 May so we were gathered around 30 Norwegians and a Fin :). Mostly elderly people and tourists, but it was very cozy. I brought the guitar and was singing Norwegian songs together with the folks. Norwegian Flags everywhere, and good food, cake. So this was fun for a Norwegian longing for his country 17 May!

Do I have a nice tan in the great weather in Cyprus? ... Try to picture a guy that is wearing a tight shirt with collars all day. I?m really brown from my Adam's apple and up, and on my arms with a pretty clear line. I feel like a walking yin and yang.
This week we helped in the garden for someone who really needed help. We had to be careful with regards to snakes. In fact we found one in the garden. When I got home I was good sunburn around my neck where my shirt do not cover. So when I saw myself in the mirror I just had to laugh. Because I looked like a neapolitan ice cream J.

Lots of little miracles this week. One of our investigators asked us if we could visit a of her friends, who have been involved in the Spirit church. Lots of stories that I will not go into here, but reminds me of some stories from the scriptures. Anyways, she wanted us to use priesthood and clean up the spirit. She was home, but would not let us in. But the good thing was that we meet with her neighbor. A woman from the Philippines. She went to her church every week until she moved to Cyprus. She did not particularly like the Greek Orthodox Church, so when she heard about our church here, she was very excited. We will teach her later this week.

This week we have "dropped" many people who have not progressed and frankly do not have that interest in the gospel. I said to Rantaniemi that we should try find new people. Shortly after I had mentioned this to my companion, a car stopped beside us and a guy asked if we were busy. As a missionary, you do not say that you are busy when the chance presents itself, so the answer was. ?no, not particularly.? He replied: Ok well, jump into the car. I really want to learn about their church. So perfect.

Oh one more thing. You should have seen the face of Rantaniemi this week. Later in the evening the day we did gardening Elder Rantaniemi felt something crawling on him. He took off his shirt and found a huge beetle under the jersey! And it has been there since the morning. Hahha, he was not feeling well after that.

Oh well. Getting hoped that everyone had a nice week and good celebration in Norway, and that everybody has got loads of ice cream.

Javel. Ny uke, nye by, ny kompanjong og nytt underty.

Snakkes!

Well. A new week, a new city, a new companion and new underwear.

Elder Rantaniemi already knows a little Swedish, but I?m teaching hold him some Norwegian words. Hahha, words I taught him so far is nose booger and belly smudge.

New address to send letters the old fashion way:

I Skyped with my family this weekend. I really enjoyed that. It was not just the inner circle of my family that was there for the Skype. yvind and Anita with the family was also there since they were going to skype with Linn that is a missionary in Temple square. I even got to skype with Linn simultaneously and say hello skype to skype. Lots of new stuff going on in Stavanger, and siblings growing up. Mina is very pregnant. Baby Mina is twice as big as when I started my mission. It was good to speak with everyone. My grandfather and Grandmother was also there. Especially good to see mom and dad and my siblings.

Have only been here in Paphos little under a week, but we've already had plenty of good experiences. In a lesson we had, we taught two of our investigators -a married couple about Joseph Smith's First Vision. , and saw the dvd. We talked about the movie afterwards. Spirit was incredibly strong. Κουραγία said she got goosebumps and had good feelings when she saw God and Christ descend. I explained to her that that is the Holy Spirit confirming the truth. When I bore my testimony of the Holy Spirit, the spirit was again strongly present. Again Κουραγία said she had the same feeling. She beamed with joy. And so did I.

Hehe, I was actually in Paphos last week, just for a day on an exchange. While I was here, we had an appointment with a Stella an investigator. I managed to break a glass ... Since it was Mother's Day just around the corner, we wrote a card to her, since she is like a mother to the missionaries. I also bought a new glass and wrapped it nicely. Nothing fancy. We stopped by and delivered card and gift before she came home. During the night we received a message from Stella where she explained how much it meant to her. It caused her to cry and she explained how much she actually needed this. It shows how much it means to people around us when we care about them and actually show it. So people: Walk an extra mil!

It was fun being at church on Sunday. They remembered me even more than I expected, since I was only there for 3 weeks and it is a while ago now. We'll see how many weeks they can stand me this time. J.

Have not heard anything from bottle-pranks from last week, but will hear about it tomorrow ^^

Anyways, I'm looking forward to next week. We have a busy week with lots of meetings and appointments, sothat will be interesting.

So have a splendid week! I heard that the you had 25 degrees and sunny back home, this week, so it will be easy to enjoyed yourself! It is not everyone that needs to wear white shirts and tie in the heat;). But this is how we like it. Let?s keep in touch.

Hellluu te du som gidde fylla me p bloggen! Sl deg laus! :-)

Okay, ny uke med masse nytt. Jeg blir flyttet tilbake til Paphos! Pizza i lange baner.

Fantastiske folk.

Masse flasker. Dere fr se bilde nedenfor. Frankinflaske.

snakkes grabbiser, blei litt mye idag. :p

    -----------------------------------------------

Haya to all of you that still bother to follow my blog! Be not a stranger.

Okay. A new week with lots of news. I will be moving back to Paphos! Extreme amount of Pizza. We found a stranded man and we have prepared the apartment for the new missionaries that are coming ;) plus I've learned a lot from the scriptures this week.

I have been in Limassol for 12 weeks now. I will move back to Paphos (also in Cyprus) this Wednesday. This was the area where I was before Limassol. Guess who I will serve together with? Elder Rantaniemi! He was my companion in the MTC. I'm looking forward to work with him again. He is a good guy and we've got a good area that we will be working in. I wish I had some more time here in Limassol however. It is not so much going on here with investigators and stuff, so I was hoping that I could leave the area better then I do. I'm going to miss the members here. Wonderful people: Φανή, Ηλίας which is always fun to be around. We have also been very close with some of the strong members here like Charlotte and Amanda.

David, a really nice guy who was recently baptized. We teach him still occasionally. This week when we visited him we ordered four huge pizzas. It was me and elder Clarke together with the other two missionaries here plus David and a friend him. We had more then enough pizza. I think I've never eaten so much pizza before.

I have to tell you about John that we found near by the beach. He is a little confused person, but actually a member. He has a special story. He is from England, but have lived in Hong Kong for 23 years. He has his family there. He is hydraulic engineer, working where he find work. He got a good job in Africa on a rig. On his way to Africa he had to stop at Cyprus, since the company has an office here. When he came to Africa the company canceled the job, so they had to send him back. Since he started the job via Cyprus they sent him back here, without any money. So he have been stuck here for 6 months, sleeping outside, living on bread, water ... and the fruits from the trees here (there are plenty of this here). We must try to find out a little more about him and see if we can manage to return him home to his family in Hong Kong. Seems like a very strange situation. He never asked us for money or assistance. He just wanted to contact his family and the Bishop at home.

Since I will move to Paphos and Clarke to Athens there are two new elders coming in. We decided to make a small surprise for them. Again it involves bottles. Lots bottles. You'll see picture above. We call him Frankinbottle. Should loved to be in the room when they enter the apartment.

We had a sleepover with the other missionaries in this area.
This because it was an Orthodox Easter weekend. We were given permission to go out at ten in the evening and join the party and allowed to come back one at the night. It was very cool experience. Everyone was kissing all kind of strange things. When the patriarch came there was long queue. They lined up for kissing his clothes and rings. That was a strange sight. Especially when the holy light started spread throughout the hall the more people brought candle light.

I have been very focused about the scriptures this week. I have studying them daily as before, but more into depth this week. I am incredibly grateful that we have the scripture. In past they were somewhat impersonal and kind of cold to me. Ancient prophets who have been dead for thousands of years in many cases. But this week I really felt blessed that we have these fantastic books. The Book of Mormon and the Bible. I learned to love them. They have become very personal to me, and it's something I want to share with everyone around me. They can help people in the world with large or small problems, and they are giving us a key to be more happy. Sounds strange when I say this, but I promises this. Just try them;)

Have a groovy week. sorry it was abit long this week.

Φανή, Ηλίας, me and Clarke inside our church.
