Shallabaais folkens

S her er litt vann.

S me snakkes godtfolk!

Shallabaais guys
Took me a week off from blogging, but I?m back stronger than ever ;) Lots of adventures, so I'll begin to list them:
A woman came up to us this week as we walked the streets in the heat. She was from England. She stopped us and said. I know which church you are from. My children are members and one of our grandchildren are going on a mission soon. So here is some water. She had two bottles of freezing water and assured us that it was safe to drink. It was really needed that day so it was a great blessing to us northern guys.

We found a family that told us to come back to when they had time. We rang the doorbell and they let us in. Only the wife and her husband could "reasonably" Greek. The rest of the 7-8 people in the house, just a few words. So we taught them all J. Specie experience. Most understood almost nothing, except a few sentences which were translated. But all sat and listened to what we had to say. Next time we had plenty of pamphlets in romanian. Which they loved. Everyone just sat reading. The wife read last time in the Book of Mormon and asked if we had it in her language. And she was sooo happy when we gave her one. She said that she would read every night. She seems to have great faith.

We also met two persons that are "former investigators," which was taught by missionaries a while ago. A woman we met said she loves the Book of Mormon, know that it is true and all, came even to church before, but we cannot teach her because her husband who is a Muslim, does not allow it. That is really a shame. She really would have gotten so much out learning more about the gospel and all the blessings in her life!.

The second we meet on Bambos had also read the entire Book of Mormon, been taught in past and came to church, but somehow lost contact with the missionaries. He was very happy to see us. Hope we will meet with him this week. He had some stomach problems, so might be in the hospital. We'll see.

Next week there will be many changes in our mission. There are a lot of missionaries who will go home, completed their two years. Maybe I'm still will be in Papos another six weeks. But unlikely that my companion Elder Rantaniemi will stay, since he has been here longer than me.

Well Must go. We shall see Zootropolis in Greek and then we were invited by George, an awesome investigator to the other elders, to bowl. He is hilarious. Every time he opens his mouth I'm lying on the ground, rolling around with laughter. What a great, incredibly sharp guy.

So have a good one you people

    Hallo, hallo!

Men ja, 33 stykker.

Hbe dkkr alle har ein knallgoe uga, fokusere p det posetiva og e nille me kverandre ;) s snakkes me neste uga! ^^

    -------

    Hello, hello!
We are now in July, the humidity is at its peak and it is destroying our refrigerator and our souls. :-)

We actually had so much moisture in the air that the fridge failed to work. The refrigerator condensed water in the air too fast and suddenly splatted out everything.

We were on a trip in the mountains this Monday about 1,500 meters above sea level with the entire zone. There it was less moisture, so it was wonderful. We checked out a ski resort that is open only in the winter. Was not big resort to be honest, but I have heard that it is the ski resort furthest at south. (North of the equator I guess.)

I was on a swing and suddenly I had too much speed, went well above 90 degrees and landed right on my back. I expected to beat the air out of my lungs or something, but everything went just fine. Elder Fagg lost his breath and was absolutely speechless.

He was sure that I was paralyzed from my neck and down after the fall. :-)

We found a family this week that we are teaching. They have the desire to learn more and like to see how we it is in the church. They will come to church next week. So I?m so exited. This Sunday we had 33 people at the church! So we went from 9 to 33 in one week so it's good. We had lots of tourists, and investigators as well. Some of the tourists we met the night before. One of them was a missionary here 20 years ago, so it was fun to hear how the mission was at the time. But yes, 33 pieces. It was like in the movie "Cars," when people finally come to visit Radiator City. And truly, Paphos and Limassol is like the Radiator City. Few members, all rather special, different strong personalities, works almost like a family, and is so exited when we have visitors and investigators! hahha. Love that movie. Good movie.

One evening we had whiteboarding. I started to talk with a Swede, and ph! It was so hard to speak with him !! I understood everything he said of course, but when I had to think in Norwegian, on the spot, it just did not work. No chance. Greek and English words popped up. I could not translate back to Norwegian. It was terrible. Now, when I think back of the words I did not find, it's much easier. But at the moment, I was completely lost.

We have taught quite a few people this week. It's incredibly nice to see when people begin to understand. When they begin to change themselves. When they take an absolute 180 degrees in their lives. When they begin to gain a testimony, it is like a rolling stone. Nothing can stop them. It really makes a big difference in their lives when they understand the Atonement of Christ.

I hope you all will have a fabulous week. Focus on what positive and be nice to each other ;) And then I?ll see you next week! ^^
