Javell.

Αλέξανδρος, Στέλιος, Byron som vi underviser jevnlig. Vi har ogs Κίκη Σάββας, Ανδρέας Κοραλία, Stella Alex Daniel som vi har godt kontakt med.

Han prvde ogs gi oss over 50euro i cash. You sneaky missionaries! hahha. vi fr se hvordan neste besk blir ^^

Μπάμπος sa ja til bli dpt! Satt dato p frste oktober.

Takker for alle bursdagshilsenene! Dkkr e best ;) st p, smash it. #smashtag #neverland

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I?m 20 years old now today! ?That came too quick.

This week has been insane. For better and worse. The work has never been so good as it is now. Lot of very cool lessons.

Now I'm 20 years old. Wow, that's not possible. I liked being 19.  it's like okay to be a kid until it. After 20, I do not know, the number taste so different. 1/2-way to 40. Jrgen little Jgga or Pe can not be 20 years allready. But I can comfort me with the fact that I never really will grow up. Small pranks, bouncy activities and childish choices, it will never stop. I think that I have Jesus on my side when I say we should be like children;)

Me and Elder Dagry found some investigators who are absolutely brilliant. People who actually investigates, asks questions and is open for answers and doctrine. Αλέξανδρος, Στέλιος, Byron that we teach regularly. The first two live in the same street, four houses apart. Patricia, Μπάμπος, Meg and Nic are also wonderful people who want to find the truth and come closer to Christ. We also have Κίκη Σάββας, Ανδρέας Κοραλία, Stella Alex Daniel that we have good contact with. So we have much actually goes forward in our work! It's a good feeling that I have not had too much on my mission until now. It's wonderful to feel that I actually make a difference.

I must mention one of the lessons we had with Αλέξανδρος. We found him last week and began teaching him right away. The day before the next appointment, he called us and said he had something to us. The following day when we visited him, he had been out buying lots of different stuff to us, at a combined value that must be well over 100euro! He admired the missionary work that much, so he would like to help us where he could: Foot care products, since we go so much every day. Mouth and throat stuff, since we are talking to people all day and a small towel to have with us since it's so hot, plus other different stuff hahha. He also tried to give us 50Euro in cash. He refused to take the money back. So I put the money inside his Book of Mormon, without him noticing. Two days later I got a SMS. ?You sneaky missionaries?! hahha. we'll see how the next visit will go ^^

Μπάμπος agreed to be baptized! Set date on October 1st. I do not know if he is quite ready for it yet, but if he wants to learn and is willing to prioritize then it is quite possible. We will at least help him to teach him what it takes to prepare for baptism. Yes!

Στέλιος really wanted to come to church on Sunday. I do not think he wanted to come alone, so he offered to bring Αλέξανδρος with his car, because he knows that he do not have his own car. ah! The investigators helping each other to get to church! He asked if we could come and teach a friend of him in the neighborhood too. We already teaching 3 of 20 in the neighborhood, so now maybe 4 soon. Insane. Mission Life is wonderful.

So everything has been great and we see progress in the missionary work. But I must admit that I've had it a hard time lately. Nothing serious or anything, but I have been a little depressed. It's amazing how much the Holy Spirit can actually comfort. Then simply need to pick myself up again. Very good that I have a really good companion.

Life is certainly can be a little painful and good at the same time. A good comparison here is getting a little too hard massage. ;)

One of the spiritual peaks I had this week was when someone urged me to read the Liahona August 2016 "Accepting the Lords will and timing." It gave me lot of good answers to questions I had.

Well well. That was this week, the upcoming week seems to be just as interesting as well, so it will be great! Thanks for all of your birthday wishes you gave me! You are the best! ;) Keep it up, smash it. #smashtag #neverland">#smashtag #neverland

Hello you guys! For all those who are not yet tired of reading the blog :P

We do whiteboard once or twice a week and we get lots of interesting answers to the different questions. Some of the responses can be extra fun. So question 1: What is your dream? Answer: "A world without Mormonism." Hehe. Question 2: What makes you happy? "I cannot answer, I cannot swim." I almost fell down on the last one. It just did not make any sense.

We have had a lot of good conversations on the street lately. I've learned some French from my companion. So when I hear some French tourists, then I start a conversation in French, saying some sentences. Smiling. Looking at Dagry, and then he takes over. Yes! Felt like the first few weeks of my mission. Hahha!

Me and Elder Dagry have had so much to do lately, people to teach and to help, so there are no more time to contact new people (knock on wood :-)) But on Thursday we had some time for some knocking on doors, all missionaries favorite. not ... But we had some amazing experiences. First door, Jehovah's Witnesses. I do not think they dared to talk with us, since they are from Canada and knows the LDS. The next door we found a guy named Αλεξάνδρος, Alex. He is an absolutely golden! He did not have much time for a lesson there and then, but we did get in for a small visit. He collects lots of stones and crystals. I recognized one of the largest crystals he had and asked if this was an amethyst. He was all excited that I knew it, hahhaha. Think I made a good impression.

    (I'm now a fax expert :)

Saturday morning we dropped by to teach the first lesson. Fantastic! He was ready to hear everything we had to say, and he understood. He was not so happy with Jehovah's Witnesses that he had as neighbors, but was ok with us. He said it was the first sophisticated conversation he had with someone in 10 years, hahha. He's a good guy. He was still impressed by the second visit that I could names his stones and crystals.

Hahha another fun discussion. We teach the woman who have been studying the church for longer than I've lived. She lives with / work with this guy. He is anti-Mormon. John has endless anti-Mormon literature and even has his own website where he writes rumors and tries to disprove LDS. When we met him we answered everything he had, and refuted almost everything he had there and then on the spot. And of course we taught him. :-) He is a relatively smart person and knows a lot, but he's not quite there all the time. He jump between different multiverses and alternate universes where only small things are different. To justify the idea he uses the model of how quarks and small particles can go in and out of existence. So yeah. Dagry is so sure he's going to be baptized. :-)

Byron. We had an amazing lesson with him this week. We talked about baptism and about our views on the subject and went naturally into the authority and priesthood. Byron both understood and was very interested, and eager to learn. He did not say yes to the baptismal date just yet, but it will probably come soon.

So this was my week. If you fancy to tell me about your week, then drop by an email, jlundergard@myldsmail.net

Have a brilliant week. At least I will enjoy my self here, since I got a package with a lot of Norwegian chocolates! They have all melted in the heat here. But the 200 gram chocolates are now in a roll shape, haha. So now it will both be good AND interesting to eat the chocolates.

    ----------------------------------------------------------

Hei p dkkr!

Smiler. Later som jeg skjnte. Kikker p Dagry, og s tar han over. Yes!

For n kom nettopp ein pakke me norsk sjokolade! Relativt smelta, melkesjokoladene kom som ein 200gams Melkerull fasong, haha. S n e det bde god OG interessant spisa sjokoladen ^^ snx

    Tuddeluu.

Har vert ein knell flotte uga. President Heder var her p Sndag, me hadde Sone-mte med alle misjonrene p yn. Gode leksjoner. Fina vere.

    Hi

    Hello there.
We had a great week. President Heder were here on Sunday, me had Zone meeting with all missionaries on the island. We had good lessons and good weather :-)

Wow ... it's very strange being out this long in the mission that you can see how the mission changes. Many of the missionaries I got to know in the beginning of my mission is finished with their mission. Fortunately, there are coming some "fresh blood" into our mission soon. Haha, it's fun to watch the few new ones we have. How they deal with language and the work. Everyone is addressing it different. It gets you feel kind of old in the mission, even though I'm still pretty new myself.

President Heder? what a guy! He was visiting here in Paphos with his family. We had 33 people in the sacrament meeting. This is a record here in Paphos. So that was fun. There were not many dry eyes in the meeting during the talks. It reminded me how much I love to come to church every Sunday to focus on Christ and to get to feel the Holy Spirit.

A person that I write with told me about his brother who is now on his mission. He and his companion are really best friends. They work well together and have so much fun together. Every day they walk past an elderly lady who was selling oranges. Every time they walk past, she gave them three pieces for free. It was a morning where they had an argument or something that they did not fix up before they went out. They saw the elderly lady as usual. This time she gave them only two oranges. They asked out of curiosity, why they got two today. She just said, "Today is not that other guy with you."
Well, it's abit creepy... But I like the story. It is quite amazing that people notice how we are doing with our companion. It actually has a lot to say.
Me and Elder Dagry have only had two weeks together, but we have a good relationship and the two weeks have been really cool. I know it is important and helps ut to have the Holy Spirit with us.

We've had lots of good experiences this week. One guy stopped us in his car and asked, hey, do you teach about God? Slightly confused we replied yes. He is interested in learning about us, even though he's pretty scared of the "Mormons", haha. The orthodox teach quite a lot of lies about us. Another guy we met on the street was also very interested on to learn more. He was "unfortunately" just a tourist, but we helped him figure out how he can contact missionaries in Manchester, I hope that he continues to be taught at home.

As mentioned earlier, we go down to the harbor and ask people questions that they can answer by writing it on a whiteboard. It's very interesting how people react on the questions. We try to ask easy questions like, what makes you happy. Some get interested, some are totally confused, some get angry, some dares not even to give us a glance, some love it.

Well? We're halfway through August now. Time flies, and temperatures is starting to descend slowly. It's starting to be livable to be a missionary :-)

Adj

    Hi and ho People.

A really good week. We have meet a lot of good people, and lots of good lessons with my new companion Elder Dagry. And, I have sent my very first fax! Woho

We are helping with some service every in a nursing home, a hospice. Normally we help the patients, cook for them and make sure they have everything they need. This week there was a mistake done, so they had no one in the administration. They asked us if we had some clue about computers and technical equipment. Despite nearly a year without nothing more technology than a Nokia brick I said yeah, technology is not a problem. So we were sitting in the lobby as secretaries. It was quite an experience. We meet customers who came in, answered emails. We had to answer the phone every time it rang, the Greek was not a problem, but we did not really know what we should say. hahha. So we answered questions as best we could, and if it was needed we put them to another office so it worked fine. The highlight was when we had to send and receive fax. Oh yes, you read correct a Fax. I was so sure it was a technology that died out early 1300s. But no, here it is the latest news. So I will add a professional faxer on my CV ;)

One of our investigators returned from a trip to England. She was the one who took the cat we rescued and who has studied the church for about 30years, and going to church every Sunday. She keeps all commandments, The law of chastity, word of wisdom, so there is no problem there. She calls herself as a dry member since she has not been baptized yet. Hahha. She is so funny, I cannot wait to help her now that she is back home.

There are so many good people here, it's pretty amazing. Maybe not the quantity but the quality is at top notch. We've got some dinner appointments this week. Some members invited us home Sunday after church for a family meal. George took us out at McDonalds spontaneously one day this week, that saved the day for us since it was not so much food in our flat. And, hahha. on fast Sunday he forgot about the fast and gave us a large box of fresh doughnut... Puh, that was quite a temptation! But the donuts were well appreciated later that day, of course.

Everything is well with my new companion. He still is breathing (y). We have fun and is teaching good together. I have felt a strong spirit this week. This is one of the best things with being a missionary.

Okidoki. Stay strong and be good. Have a good week, Au revoir

This week I will start English and do the Norwegian. :)

Hello, relatives and friends and creeper stalkers, another two good weeks, with a new comp and new blessings to harvest.

Once again have a transfer 6uker-passed, and changes have taken place?. Wait for it? wait for it? ... I will be staying in Paphos and Elder Rantaniemi will move to Nicosia! And guess what, Elder Dagry will be my new companion! Weeey!
Dagry came from the same MTC group as me. So he has also been out for almost 11 months. He is from France, he is amazing on the piano, and I'm excited to serve with him. It will be great! ^^ We were the both in Athens at the same time, and have both been in Cyprus since and have always a lot of fun together.

Me approaching 11 months out on my mission I think I finally starting to get used to not being "home". Up until now I feel the urge to check my pocket for my iPhone when I see a "free wifi" sign : p So I finally starting to get rid of my old bad habits, hahha!

I can start with last week. We did bowl with George. What a man. Always funny, always has a comment. Hehe, always difficult to explain what is legal / appropriate for missionaries and what is not. So the other elders gave him a white handbook, where everything is explained, that he can now read. So he has lots of comments on what it says, hahha. Trying to remember some of his comments. We had a very deep conversation physics since 4 of us are very interested in things like this. We talked about different types of substances, as well as hypothetical substances. After a brain flows discussion he said... Okey, look, there is only two types of matter. Does and doesn't I fell to the ground.

We have hung up some flyers around town, free English and Greek courses, we teach each week. A guy called and was interested in our Greek course. He knew lot of words already, but little about conjugations cases, bends, sentence structure and general grammar. So we taught him this week. He was also interested in learning about what we believe. He had read a bit online, and felt that this was something he ought to investigate more. We continued to teach him about the gospel after the language course.

Btw Emil lost the chess game that we've had with coordinates from week to week;)

I went one day without shave, for we had to get up extra early to serve in a hospice. Next morning I put some ink to create fake beard, or to reinforce what I had already after one day. Ah, I'd photographed my companion face when he saw it. He was totally confused. It looked pretty real, but it was of course too much after just one day. hahha. It took some time before he realized that it was just a joke. : P Took a picture, dont show it that good though...

    This week:

I feel I should start with tell about a fun event, hahha. We were a trio last Monday and we had a lesson with Κίκη, a policewoman. She looooove to hear when we pray, she can never get enough. We have at least three prayers every time we are there. On Monday, she explained why she likes it so much. She said because she feels that God does hear us, we are young, innocent, missionaries and close to God. Rantaniemi explained:yes, God hears us and then said: "ο Θεός σας ακούει, εκείνος ακούει τους κακούς επἰσης" which means ?God hears you, he hears the bad / wicked too?. Me and Kitsell looked at eachother and fell on the ground with laughter. It came completely unexpectedly, it took some time and then he understood and what he had just said. Took a few minutes, and then we had the spirit with us again;)

So now I serve with Elder Dagry. That is so cool. We have already taught a lot together even though we do not been together more then one week. I see that there is lots that I can learn from him.

In recent weeks we have eaten plenty of cactus fruit, that we get from some friends. Yesterday we were out walking passing a cactus. It was a while since the last meal so I thought ah, it looks good. It was not very smart. For eve non the fruit there is a lots of tiny needles. The next thing that happened was that I had needles in my whole hand. I think I still have some in my hand. Lesson learned, never again. (But I got one fruit at least. Almost worth it. Lets call it 1-1)

Again we see we miracles every day. Small example from the previous day. We had a scheduled lesson with someone. But they were not home.

We were a little disappointed since we would have wasted over an hour in travel for nothing. But when we were going to take the bus home, then a guy came and had some good questions to us.

We had a good conversation for 5 minutes before he had to go. The second he walked away the investigators came home. They were abit tight up and they came 10 min late. Had it not been for the man who stopped us, we would have wasted an evening and not been able to help Ανδρέας with his troubles.

The Lord works in mysterious ways.

Please have a good week all you people and fairies <3

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okey, look, there is only two types of matter. Does and doesn't.

Herren jobber p underlige mter.

Ha ein gruvanes forteffelige uga folk og fe <3
